breathwork with jamie Clements

I'm a breathwork coach and mental health advocate based in London. Having discovered breathwork over two years ago, it had a profound impact on me, significantly improving my physical and mental wellbeing. I strongly believe that breathwork is the most universal and powerful tool that we all have access to change our minds and live healthier, happier lives and I can't wait to bring it to the mountains to share with you!

WHAT IS BREATHWORK?

Our lives are book-ended by our first and last breaths and the average adult takes around 20,000 breaths every day, so why would anyone need to 'practice' breathwork?

Firstly, for our health. Many of us do not breath optimally for our physical and mental health and step one with breathwork is to address this. Beyond that, breathwork can be an incredibly powerful practice to achieve a variety of different outcomes. Dr Ela Manga, a world renowned breathworker and medical professional, summarises this perfectly with her acronym, ART.

A - Awareness: How are you breathing and what does this mean?

R - Regulation: How can you change your breath to change how you feel?

T - Transformation: How can you use your breath to heal?

During the retreat, we'll be using simple breath techniques to change our state (more energy, relaxation etc), as well as some extended sessions using Conscious Connected Breathing, which will allow us to connect deeply into our emotional body and clear blocked emotional energy from our systems.

YOGA WITH LOUISE

With over 600 hours of training and 2,000+ hours of teaching experience, I am most passionate about sharing the practice of yoga to help others foster this beautifully deep connection through the body and the breath, back home to the Self. Yoga for me has come to encompass these two pillars: power and grace.

During this retreat we will be practising vinyasa yoga, yin yoga and meditation. Each day we will have a morning vinyasa practice and alternate evenings we will also do yin.

FOOD

Dom will be cooking all of our meals - from breakfast through to dinner with snacks in between. Here’s a bit about his philosophy and why I was so motivated to get him booked in for our retreat!

Former super yacht and Michelin star restaurant trained Chef Dom is the founder of MITAHARA gastronomia. He has recently trained as a nutritional coach and as a 200-hour yoga teacher showing his passion for creating dishes that are healthy yet exciting to all your senses.

‘In ancient Sanskrit, the word Mita means moderate & Ahara means intake. So, this idea of moderational consumption mixed with the exquisite pleasure of fulfilment that can be achieved from gastronomy is what we envision. MITAHARA gastronomia will allow you to achieve full sensory satisfaction from every bite, whilst simultaneously taking care of your body.’
