Our nervous system is at the heart of our health and happiness. It is through learning how to regulate your nervous stem that you can begin to release long held stress and tension that might leave you exhausted, wired, unwell, unable to sleep and so on. 

Many of us are actually stuck in the stress response state of the nervous system (sympathetic state) and it is only by downregulating the nervous system that we can begin to come back into balance. So how do we work with our nervous systems to find equanimity and optimum health? 

We increase our vagal tone! There are many wonderful ways to do this, to name a few… movement, breathwork, meditation, humming, cold water therapy and much more! 

In this 2 hour workshop Louise will first give a short lecture on the science behind the nervous system and the vagus nerve, before guiding you through powerful yoga postures and breathwork to shift you into the deep rest state of the parasympathetic branch.

Expect to move dynamically to begin with before moving into a deeply relaxing and peaceful practice of restorative postures and breathwork.

There is an invitation post workshop to submerge yourself in an outdoor ice bath. This is incredible for increasing vagal tone and will leave you feeling even more invigorated and grounded. If you’d like a go please bring swimwear and a towel.

Beginners welcome and plenty of options offered to accommodate everyone.
